Introducing...
Christer Haimi.

CEO

Christer Haimi is the key figure in and the owner and manager of CHK. He has a degree in economics and nearly 25 years of professional experience, mainly in the organisation and management of accounting. He has been active in both the public and private sectors for many years, and has been one of the pioneers of innovation in the field. This has been taken up by CHK, which has an international dimension and ambitions ranging from Finland to Armenia. Under Christer’s leadership, the company is active in the world of software development, driving innovation with the Trigon business application.

In 2006, Christer founded his own company, CH Konsultatsioonid OÜ (CHK), and since 2012 he has been fully dedicated to running it. Through CHK, Christer has helped hundreds of companies set up their accounting and has gained experience in 18 different sectors.

In addition, Christer’s diverse experience in the public sector has given him in-depth knowledge of the functioning of state apparatus and a strong network of contacts in the financial and legal fields.

He has worked at the Tax Board (now the Tax and Customs Board) as a tax inspector and as the deputy head of the Tax Department, and as the financial manager of the Ida-Viru Central Hospital Foundation. He has also served as the head of the Finance Department and deputy-director of Tartu Prison, and was one of the developers of the inmate cash accounting system.

He was then involved in reorganising the courts’ accounting centre and its later becoming the State Shared Service Centre (SSSC). This was set up to provide accounting services to all ministries.

Now pursuing his private business, Christer is applying his wealth of experience gained from managing the accounts of various public administrations,  following the same high standard. This has helped CHK win multiple awards, including repeated recognition in the Äripäev list of top accounting firms.

Christer is also a member of the management and supervisory boards of the Association of Estonian Accountants and is a member of its accounting services committee. As one of the pioneers of the profession, he contributes to the development of the accounting profession in both the public and private sectors in a number of ways. He has more than five years of experience as a trainer in Estonia and Finland.

CHK kollektiiv

We contribute to sports and a sustainable environment

CHK has always attached great importance to social responsibility. For years now we have been doing our best to give something back to society. Supporting sports in our home city of Tartu has a special place in our hearts.

We also want Tartu sports, and Estonian sports generally, to be recognised both at home and abroad. Our main focus is on women’s sport, where we see a lot of untapped potential.

We also attach great importance to sustainability and environmental protection. We put a lot of emphasis on digitisation and automation of work processes in order to reduce our ecological footprint. Paperless accounting is an important step in this direction.
